Dean Friedman, embarks on 25 city UK/Scotland/Ireland tour featuring three dates at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival,  Aug. 7, 8, 9 at the Lot,  to coincide with the broadcast of the second season of his acclaimed

BBC Radio Scotland series,

Dean Friedman’s Real American Folk.

 

Chart topping, recording artist, Dean Friedman, best known to UK/Scotland/Ireland audiences for his classic hits, Lucky Stars, Lydia, McDonald’s Girl, Ariel and Woman of Mine, is embarking on a 25 city UK/Scotland/Ireland concert tour beginning July 22 in Rosslare Harbour ending October 28th on the Isle of Wight.

The tour will include seven dates in Scotland, including three nights at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Aug. 7, 8, 9, at the Lot. This will be Friedman’s fourth year appearing at the Fringe, where his show, last year, was a Fringe Sellout.

The tour coincides with a new season’s broadcast of his acclaimed BBC Radio Scotland series Dean Friedman’s Real American Folk, which Friedman presents.

The series, produced in Friedman’s Honking Goose Studios, located in Peekskill, NY, presents the music, stories and spirit of the Hudson Valley region of New York State, where Friedman makes his home. The six part series is scheduled to air Thursday evenings 8:00pm from August 7 to September 11 on BBC Radio Scotland. The show can be streamed online for one week following each episode on www.bbc.co.uk/radioscotland .

Friedman will be performing solo, on guitar and keyboards, featuring songs from throughout his 30 year recording career, including familiar radio hits, Lucky Stars, Lydia, McDonald’s Girl, Ariel and Woman of Mine, as well as selections from his more recent CD’s, including the critically acclaimed, Squirrels in the Attic,  comedy songs for adults.
